Leroy Coleman is Vice President of Genuine Partnership to Success (GPS). He executes the business plan and strategies for the organization. His focus is to create extensive promotion strategies, employment recruitment and relations that generate positive change or influence on the key accomplishment factors of Genuine Partnership to Success.
Dr. Coleman is a former educator in Chicago’s south suburbs. During his thirty-one years of tenured, he has developed, implemented and evaluated programs within the school district while operating in the various roles of teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent. His experience covers both primary and secondary education. He has instituted many parent and community programs that were developed to improve student, parent, and community relations. He believes that all students can be successful if motivated by parents and community.
He was selected to Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges in 1974-1975. In 1982, he was awarded by the Harvey Jaycees as one of the ten outstanding young people of 1981. He is currently a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity.
Dr. Coleman received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Midland Lutheran College, and Chicago State University awarded him a Master of Arts degree in education. In 2000 he received his Doctorate degree in education from Roosevelt University.
